Clean Creatives: Designing & scaling a national advocacy (ambassador) program
Role: As Director of Campus Engagement, I designed and managed Clean Creatives’ Campus Ambassador Program—aligning recruitment, training, and messaging systems to mobilize the next generation of creative industry leaders.
Context & stakes: Clean Creatives wanted to grow a global network of advertising and PR student advocates capable of influencing the industry’s future leaders to reject fossil fuel clients. The challenge: build a scalable, message-aligned program that could operate across diverse campuses while equipping ambassadors to drive meaningful on-the-ground climate action.
Approach:
Designed the Campus Ambassador Program from the ground up, including recruitment strategy, training structure, and impact reporting
Built a curriculum blending climate advocacy, strategic communications, and creative campaigning, with bi-weekly training and peer exchange
Created scalable toolkits: campaign planning guides, content templates, and outreach frameworks for high quality, fast execution
Integrated on-campus activations, community partnerships, and digital reach into the broader Clean Creatives brand ecosystem
Impact:
Scaled to 6+ major U.S. universities in the first year, including Harvard, University of Oregon, UT Austin, Syracuse, University of Florida, and Penn State
Launched the student pledge, securing ~1,000 qualified signers from advertising and PR programs
Partnered with international leaders to test the campus model in places like Dublin and Singapore
Built a repeatable, brand-aligned model to engage hundreds of future industry leaders annually
